Here at Small Doses, I'm always trying to find ways to use this platform to amplify voices and stories that not only need to be heard in my opinion,

but that I feel can really excite y'all as listeners and power y'all and rich y'all educate y'all as listeners.

And so what I wanted to do was create a space for our educators, honoring them, understanding them, and really just getting to know more about what the unique thing is that they are doing as educators.

As I'm looking around the current landscape of our politics, of the society, of this American community, educators are under attack.

There is a consistent narrative being said of educators as groomers, of children, as educators who are harming children by telling them the truth of American history, of educators as being overly respected for their position and their learning in the educational field.

I consider all of those things to be absolutely ridiculous and completely counterproductive to creating a society of thoughtful, compassionate, intellectual beings.

And I don't just mean intellectual in the space of actual facts and knowledge.

I mean emotionally intellectual and kids who are going to grow up to be adults in a world need educators who are regarded, supported, and respected so that they can regard, support, and respect these children and their families in continuing to not groom, but to shape, and to inspire and influence them as they develop.

So here at Small Doses, we're beginning the Educator Series. I'll be talking to a number of different educators and just people in the education field around why their work is so unique, around not just why their work is unique, but around why the educational profession is needed and what support is lacking.

I want to hear from them about their style, I want to hear from them about their joys, about their downfalls in the field, and I want to hear from them what we who are not educators can be doing to help supporting not only them, but the children who are in their classrooms.
