A deal reached to end the Long Island Railroad Strike. After three days of workers on the

picket lines, their unions and the MTA are now working on a plan to get the trains running again.

Good evening to you. I'm Christine Johnson. Now, so far, both sides are not releasing

details of the agreement. But Governor Hockel says that it won't increase taxes or lead to a fair

hike. Despite the strike coming to an end, L-I-R commuters can expect to see another tough commute

in the morning, and that is because service is set to resume in phases beginning at noontime.

A major relief for roughly 300,000 commuters that use and rely on the L-I-R.

It's been a rough three days for them commuting into the city and back home or even to work, especially today.

And while this is good news for them, it's going to take some time to get these trains back on track. Now, Long Island Railroad Service will be restored by noon at the following four branches.

Port Washington Branch, Huntington Branch, Runkuncuma Branch, and the Babylon Branch.
