So it's funny, Adrienne, you are one of the first people who I met who really like emphasized

your identity as being biracial because when not where I grew up, mixed people were black.

Like that was just kind of how I what was going on in the 90s in Cincinnati, in like rural

Cincinnati where I was from.

And so you were one of the first people I met who pushed back and said, I'm not black.

My mom is white and I don't reject her identity in my own identity.

Can you guys talk about kind of your own racial identity formation and what it's meant in

your personalizing and your movement work to be biracial or black by racial or however

you identify?
