What's up, Open Floor Globe. This has been Galver with the Washington Post. I am joined on the other line by Rob Mahoney of sports illustrated Rob. It was a buffet of goodness as Channing Fry would say this weekend. I mean, Daniela Lillard goes for 60.

The Angelo Russell goes off for 50 plus even Wiggins got a 40 point night. But to me out of all these crazy stats, these crazy storylines over the last 72 hours, the one that popped maybe more than any other was Pascal, Siacum and the Toronto Raptors. Now the NBA announced on Monday that Siacum was the Eastern Conference player of the week. He earned it.

I pop a stats he played exceptionally well in a win over the Los Angeles Lakers who had been riding a seven game winning streak.

You know into their game on Sunday night at Staples Center. Siacum was everywhere. Transition dunk, a transition layup kind of sealed the game in the fourth quarter. He's, you know, using his length to bother everybody on the Lakers, including their superstar players.

It was quite the moment for him and you really won't believe this. Rob, we got a bunch of questions from the Toronto termites over the last 24 hours about the state of their franchise.

So we're going to dive into those in a second. But first, we're going to get a comment from the young homie, Palo Ugeti from the ringer, Palo tweeted on Sunday night during that Lakers Raptors game. He wrote watching Siacum live is slowly becoming more and more like watching Yannis.

And then a couple of minutes later, he followed that up with I tweeted this specifically to get Ben Galver riled up and it worked mission accomplished. Now the missing link from that story Rob was that I accused him of blasphemy and his DMs, you know, I don't think that anyone should be comparing any other player to Yannis at this point.

I think it's completely unnecessary and out of bounds. And frankly, Palo, unprofessional by you. But Rob, I'm curious for your take because you know, it's actually not that wild. I mean, Siacum has taken this crazy leap forward again this season.

Do you see the Yannis comparisons? Is there somebody else that Pascal reminds you of? And just, you know, what's the state of the Pascal union in your minds as we enter 2020 here coming up pretty soon.

Well, it's hard because no one to your point is really like Yannis. He kind of is in a category by himself. But, you know, he's not really a unicorn, but whatever mythical creature he is.

Pascal Siacum is probably the, you know, the nearest to it. If he's like a Griffin, then Pascal Siacum is the closest thing to a Griffin. I mean, he has so many of kind of the overlapping attributes, the body type, the handle for a big, which is really unlocks a lot of his game, the defense.

Just that, that motor that takes him all over the court that plays at such a high pace and high energy all the time, you can kind of see where pala is coming from, although, you know, so long as Yannis, Inc. Stand, we will not abide it.

Yeah, I mean, I think the playmaking part that we talked about with Yannis last week is probably the difference at this point, just the command of the offense. But what I love is just the downhill nature, right.

Trying to get the rim in half court situations and being able to do it with the dribbling ability that you mentioned, I don't understand how these big guys learn how to handle a basketball, like during their NBA careers, right.

Because there's so many wings out there who we see that are just like one dimensional on offense. If they try to dribble, they panic, they freak out. I mean, I got like Danny Green, you know, place for the Lakers and used to play for the Raptors kind of comes to mind.

It really makes no sense that a player with Danny Green's body type, would it be able to dribble in the NBA and a player like Pascal would be able to do like unleashing crossovers that are like, you know, the ball travels like eight feet from his left hand all the way over towards his right hand because his wing spans so long.

And yet here we are.

Pascal has officially I'm going to christen him as one of my top five players in the NBA. Now there's a couple things that we should touch back on last year. We got a question from Raptors fans.

Hey, would you rather have Pascal or Dremon? I was ardently in the Dremon camp at that point. I think I flipped over to the Pascal camp. Now that could be a little bit prisoner of the moment stuff because Dremons been heard.

But Pascal has made that type of improvement. He deserves credit for it. To me, in the Eastern Conference, you see a top three player. If you're drafting, would you rather have Pascal over everybody besides the honest and

bead? I think I'm at that point. Like if it's Pascal versus Kyrie to start a franchise going forward, I'm taking Pascal. Is that crazy in your mind?

Or is that how you have him sort of on this hierarchy?
