Episode 8 cold opens with Toranaga

so that Toranaga can begin mourning the loss of his son,

Nagakoto who passed away after a tragic

slip and fall last week in episode 7.

Yebushige comments that cracking his head on a stone was not a death he had thought of and tells his consort to be sure and recorded in their book, which I assume is a book of ways to die that he is putting together.

Right, yeah. He says, I'd rank it lower than boiling, but higher than eaten by dogs.

So is he ranking it based on like the worst way someone could die,

or like just like how he would kill someone? I don't know based on the

boiling and eaten by dogs comparison it was really hard to tell what he meant by

that. Yeah because I feel like I put if it was ways to like kill someone I feel like I would put being eaten by dogs by dogs above both both of these seem much worse
