My name is Reed Galen. I'm here with Corbyn Trent and Evelyn Courts. Ladies and gentlemen, how are you? Well, ladies. Lady and gentlemen. A good. And Tyler Emerson will join shortly. We're just now figuring out you can only do three people at a time. So who knew? A substack is a mystery every day. All right, gang. So we're going to talk about a couple of things. Let's start with something that we all wrote about this past weekend and a couple of us participated in. Those were the No Pings events. Somewhere around 7 million people, according to, I don't know who makes these numbers up, showed up across the country. I was in Charlotte, North Carolina. I spoke for a few minutes. Corbyn, I know you were in a couple of different spots in eastern Tennessee. And Evelyn, you were sitting there watching, just watching. I drove by my local one. Yeah, honking, but angry honking. Yeah, like, yeah, like, hinking.

Anyway, so Corby, give us a sense of what was going on in Tennessee.

0:58.8

Well, so the first one I went to is in Loudoun, Tennessee, which is this, I mean, it's a quiet little burg.

1:04.9

You know, maybe there's, I don't know, 3,000 people in the whole town.

1:09.9

And there were a few hundred people out there.

1:13.9

It was, you know, it was, it was exciting to see. There was a pro-Trump protest across the street that

1:21.3

had two people in it. And then there were the hundreds of people that were there for the no kings.

1:26.1

And so I went around and I talked to

1:28.2

people and asked them what they were looking for and what they were thinking about and what,

1:31.4

you know, what brought them out there that day. People were sort of, what brought me out there

1:35.2

was pretty consistent, which was that I feel like the Constitution is being violated. I think

1:40.5

that we need to have a, you know, a order, you know, a law-based country, and we need to have everybody accountable. We need accountability and so on and so forth. But then the, what do you hope to get from this was not at all consistent. It came in a variety of forms and fashions. And there was, everybody was uh i asked people who were they who were

2:02.1

they inspired by politically and that ranged from like gabin usum to aOC to bernie sanders to

2:09.0

zorheim um dani and this is in like you know a little east Tennessee town so what's interesting

2:14.6

to me is they'd heard of zoran um and they'd heard of Gavin Yusum and all these people.

2:21.2

So for me, it was exciting to see that many people that were interested in the process, but then I read Evelyn's piece and all of that hope came crashing down.

2:34.6

That's what I do.

2:36.3

Yes.

2:36.6

Well, so Evelyn keeps it real.

2:39.7

Evelyn, I spoke in Charlotte, North Carolina for about three minutes, very broad, right?

2:45.0

Like, you know, take from here, do things in your community, have one person join up, really focused on, you know,

2:51.9

not a big ask, not a demand, not a redress of grievances to the government, but really an
