I want to just jump right in here.

We are day six of a government shutdown. No kind of big changes in

posture or fighting by either side. Over the weekend, Senate Republicans coming back, they're going

to be voting once again. And I think the big question we're asking this morning that a lot of

people are wondering is can Democrats stay united,

can Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer keep the moderates, keep some of the retirees,

those part of the factions of the Senate Democratic caucus who might be uncomfortable with the fact

that there's been no movement on the policy front here, wondering how long

they're going to hold out until there is some time, kind of short-term government funding package.
