We bring you that conversation as Siegel reflected on his long and varied career and talked about the Apple TV Plus series Shrinking, which is up for five Emmys.

I'm Matt Bellany, filling in for Kim Masters, and I'm here with Lucas Shaw, the head of the

media and entertainment group at Bloomberg. Welcome, Lucas. Great to be here, Matt. Okay, so this past week, we saw a very

interesting interview in the New York Times with Sherry Redstone, who just completed the $8 billion

transaction to sell Paramount Global to the Ellison family, David Ellison.

And we've talked a lot on the show about the Ellison's taking over Paramount.

But this is really Sherry's side of the story and the whole two-year process where she negotiated

with the Ellison, started, stopped, had her doubts, came back to the table,

and then the Trump administration got involved.

And we saw another saga where they had to essentially settle the Trump claims against CBS in 60 Minutes,

which then paved the way for the FCC to bless the deal.

What did you learn from this interview? What was your biggest takeaway?

Well, other than it reinforced that Sherry Redstone was clearly a source for Jim Stewart
