In the last showdown, Olivia and Noah debated whether kids under 18 should be allowed to vote.

Well, the votes are in, and you didn't disappoint. Lots of votes came in for the debate, so it must be a topic many of our listeners feel strongly about.

I'll get things started by reading a few messages we received from listeners who agreed with me that we should give kids under 18 the opportunity to vote.

Adam from Geelong, Australia said,

Well, I think that it will give younger people a chance to think independently.

Ivy from Vancouver, Canada, said, I don't know, just because kids should have a say in their future.

Hugh from Melbourne, Australia said,

The government is an important part of the country, and if children could vote, then it would be amazing, because children would have strong opinions on what they want the government to be.

Now let's hear from listeners that agreed with me that kids under 18 should not be voting.

Dia from Livermore, California said, I agree with NOAA.

People who are under 18 should not be allowed to vote.

They are not mature enough yet.

Our brains don't fully develop until we are around 25, so 16-year-olds might not know

enough to make good decisions. They might trust websites that don't tell the truth. Thank you for

And like Noah said, over half of the Americans don't want the voting age to be lowered.
