Hey guys, welcome back to One Popular. I've got Jess from Hot Takes and Deep Dives back on the pod. We spoke about Bethany, of course, because we always do.

0:22.0

We talked about transgender dating.

0:23.9

We talked about the latest with Earring Gate, hopefully the last entry in the Earing Gate saga, but we'll see.

0:30.9

So that is coming up in a bit.

0:32.8

I just have some breaking news first.

0:34.7

I went to the movies last night to see Flowers of the Killer Moon

0:37.8

with De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio and I had no issues, no drama, no sensory problems,

0:47.9

no meltdowns, uh, I didn't have a psychotic break where an ambulance needed to be called.

0:53.2

It was fine. I didn't need to

0:54.6

cuss anybody out. Nobody was playing on their phone. No one was eating too loudly. I didn't have to

1:00.0

hear any munching. Like, it was the perfect moviegoing experience for me. So I saw it in gold class.

1:08.3

That is like the first class of going to the movies and you get these spacious leather seats and you can like recline in them. They're huge and there's like limited capacity. So it's not a full theater. You order food and cocktails and drinks and they bring it out like so comfortable. So when I booked it, even ahead of time, like knowing that it was gold class,

1:28.8

I was still a little bit paranoid and I was trying to decide like, okay, do I get the two seats

1:33.8

that are at the back in the middle or do I go to the two seats on the left at the back? So I'm kind of

1:41.2

in the corner. I'm not going to have people on either side of me. They'll only be on

1:45.5

one side of me. And it's not going to be near the entrance because it's such a long movie.

1:50.9

The movie goes for like three and a half hours. And I was kind of scared of like, okay, if I'm in

1:55.7

the middle and the movie is going for three and a half hours, people are going to be getting up constantly to go to the fucking bathroom, because people are so thoughtless, like, they don't even go to the toilet before the movie, they're just like, oh, whatever, like, I'll just go in with, like, a full bladder, and then it's like 15 minutes in there getting up to go to the bathroom already, like, it's just so thoughtless, like, no one plans ahead. So I'm like, oh my God, like, I don't want to be in the middle and then having people on each side of the aisle coming in. And then sometimes, like, the aisle lights where it shows the number of the seat. Like that, I can always see that at the corner of my eye. And like, it drives me crazy. So, like, and I was just thinking about that, and I was like, freaking out. And I'm like, no, let me get the one in the back corner. And I feel like that was the right decision because, look, it was so cozy and just out of the way. And I went there with my mom, and I ordered a long black with milk on the side because it was the night session and it was

2:51.6

like we went at like 7.30 but the movie didn't get out to like 1130 and um I'm like

2:57.4

I need some coffee to like stay awake through this fucking thing and I ordered like bread and dips

3:01.8

and that was so nice like they were just so good there was barely anybody in the theater and

3:06.6

it's already like limited capacity anyway but there was only about five other seats taken. And they weren't even, like, too close to me. Like, they weren't even, like, in the back row. They were more, like, in the middle, which, why are you sitting that fucking close to the screen? Like, it's a small theatre, and you're like, no, I need to be like as close as possible. Like, it's mental, but I mean, I was glad because I weren't anyway fucking near me. So I didn't have to hear them or anything. And no one was making any noise. Like, nobody ordered loud food. Like, they did order food to come out in the middle, like I did with the bread and dips. but, you know, like the usher came in and just like quietly handed it to them.
