Hello folks, Dominic here, for your semi-regular update.

First, a quick update on the narrative.

At the end of the last episode, Number 192B, I promised an episode about

the temples and the places of Seth, his cult centres within Egypt. I need to delay that episode slightly within the narrative.

There are two reasons for this. First of all the episodes about Seth

really outgrew their original plan. It was supposed to be one episode, number 192, that would cover the essentials.

But it was kind of fun diving deep into that religious Malaki and I couldn't help myself but go even further.

When it came to the temples though I didn't really have a plan for covering them in great detail just yet. But thanks to listener feedback, I tried to

kick-start that and move it forward a bit. Unfortunately, the actual evidence for the temples

of Seth is not that well preserved for the reign of

seti the first. Instead, it's going to be more productive if we talk about those temples

in the reign of seti's son, Ramesses the second.

Ramesses was a legendarily great builder and many of the excavated temples that relate to Seth

have evidence specifically from Ramese the second.

By comparison, Seti the first is quite poorly recorded within these temple sites.

So despite my enthusiasm, I think it would be better if we talk about Seth's temples a little later

in the narrative, in the reign of Rameses the second. For me that's an object lesson in sticking to my original plan

and not trying to insert episodes that I wasn't previously intending to do.

My sincere apologies to anyone who's really holding out for the temples of Seth, and I know there are a few of you, but rest assured, that episode will come.

It'll just fit better in the narrative a little down the line.
