I'm a kid that grew up in Southern California skateboarding every day of my little life. I dreamed of becoming a pro skateboarder.

It was the thing.

So the first thing I thought of is this is ridiculous because as much as I love my people, you know, the skateboarders,

they're going to be in trouble as soon as the owners come around and find

that the coping of the pool has been grinded to smithereens by, you know know layback grind.

Yeah, this is ridiculous.

The layback grind even today as far as the sport has come and at this point skateboarding

when I watch someone skateboard I can barely tell what they've done.

I have to slow it down because the moves are so intricate and the spins, you don't even know how many

spins go down.

So there's just a ton of stuff involved in modern skateboarding that I can't

barely decipher. But it is still one of the most satisfying and beautiful moves in skateboarding to just do a layback grind on the coping of a pool.
