Hello and welcome to the political party.

Today's guest is the political historian Izzy Kohn, host of a fantastic political

podcast series called Leading Labour, where she takes in turn each Labour leader since the war

from Attlee to Corbyn and does, I guess what you call a deep dive or an oral essay on

Atley, Gateskill, Wilson, Callahan and everyone else who's led the Labour Party up to Jeremy Corbyn.

But of course, we talk about Keir Stama and how he can learn the lessons of history,

particularly from the people before him who won elections for the Labour Party.

Don't forget, the political party returns to the stage on Monday,

the 8th of December with Nick Clegg at the Duchess Theatre in London's glittering West End.

And then at my next guest after that is at the end of January on the 26th of January when it is a

special guest who I cannot announce. Now, there's only one person in the history of this show in the

last 12 years that I wasn't able to announce and that was Tony Blair so I only ever say I can't announce it

if I absolutely can't.

At no point will that guest be announced.

On Monday the 16th of February at the Duchess Theatre, my guest is David Miliband, and we talked to Izzy about the people who could have been Labour leader. Well, surely he is top of that list as someone who could not just have been a Labour leader, but been a Labour Prime Minister. It would be amazing getting his analysis on how Labour's doing. Obviously, he'll be coming up to the local elections at that point.

But just about his life in politics, everything that he's doing now with refugees in New York.

On Monday the 9th of March, my guest is Zach Palanski, the new leader of the Green Party, of course,

is making huge waves on the left.
