Today's guest is Johnny O in the film and documentary

maker whose news series for BBC Sounds strike

chronicles the minor strike in Britain but specifically in South Wales.

It's a new audio series made for radio Wales available across the UK on BBC sounds.

Johnny is a fantastic storyteller and whether it's fiction that he's made in the past or

brilliant documentaries about football, one of which of course is about Nottingham Forest, I believe in miracles.

He has a fantastic talent for bringing out the most interesting parts of the stories, often

telling stories or certainly about subject matter that other people may have tackled before

but doing it in a far more entertaining and accessible way and his news series strike is absolutely

superb on BBC Sands.

So we've got a lot in common,

but this is a brilliant interview about what

made the strike different in South Wales than, say,

Nottinghamshire or Yorkshire or even Scotland and just

about the legacy of the strike the politics of it the social cost but a whole load of

new things as well obviously it's the 14th anniversary of the minor strike and there's a lot of stuff around this year.

Johnny's take on it, Johnny's way of telling that story is entirely unique to him
