Hello and welcome to the political party. Today's guest is Jeff Norcott, the fantastic

comedian, conservative supporter, although not necessarily forever and we come onto that,

but where Jeff's politics come from, what his political awakening was, issues around class.

And this is fantastic. And I should have had Jeff on years ago. That's sort of so many

of my guests. I always think, well, actually the benefit of having waited is there's a longer

view that you can take of all these things. But this is really good. And Jeff really

thinks about not just capital P politics, but lowercase P, small P, I think the phrase social

politics and all sorts of different issues. So we hopped and skip around the place on lots

of different things, but it's just great picking his mind about these things. And he thinks

about a lot of stuff in a very interesting way. So I'll come onto that in a second.

We just relieved given that Tom Revelled had seen him naked. So it's good to know that

I will not be facing any legal issues for publishing that revelation. Anyway, James talks

about how much he enjoyed the Tom Tugan hat episode. How he and a colleague who worked

for the foreign and Commonwealth office came to the show. Anyway, he says, I need to confess.

It was me. I heckled about the David Cameron comment. I got over giddy. James you're off

for given. Of course, heckling is usually not permitted, but that one time it was okay

because you chipped him with something funny. You were adding. You were not subtracting.
