Summary
Glasgow politics is never dull and Mhairi Hunter has a unique perspective on it. She's been a councillor there for 10 years and faces re-election this May. She also worked in the constituency office of one of Glasgow's MSPs, Nicola Sturgeon. Glasgow is often at the centre of international attention, often hosting major events, from the Commonwealth Games to COP26. With the prestige also comes pressure and Mhairi gives a great insight into the issues the Council faces as a result. She also shares her experience of working for Nicola Sturgeon and why certain rumours about the First Minister might be completely false.

| 0:55.8 | So, Joe, I hope you get well soon. He said, whilst in A&E, he listened to the Jeremy Hunt interview, |
| 1:01.9 | which I guess makes some sort of sense. And he said the phrase that really resonated with him, |
| 1:06.4 | was the one that Jeremy Hunt said, we need to come away from hating the other side as nothing |
| 1:11.2 | gets resolved, which is absolutely the spirit of this podcast. So, right at the end, in fact, |
| 1:20.5 | it's on the PS. He says, with the current conflict in the world, I can see Thomas Tugan hat |
| 1:26.3 | being in the leadership role very soon, if not, he should be. Now, I don't read that out just |
| 1:31.1 | because I think that is a very good point. And Thomas Tugan hat is, Tom Tugan hat is often called, |
| 1:39.6 | is a very talented politician. I read that out because that is excellent timing because I can confirm |
| 1:47.9 | that Tom Tugan hat will be doing one of the live shows at the Duchy's Theatre. And I'm very |
| 1:52.8 | excited about it. So, the next show on the 7th March is with Neil Kinock. That is obviously going |
| 1:58.6 | to be an incredible night out two weeks later on Monday the 21st of March. I guess we Tom Tugan hat. |
| 2:06.1 | He is exceptional. He's really been the tallest strongest voice on foreign policy. He's been |
