Hello and welcome to the political party daily episode five on Friday the 15th of November.

Today's guest is the conservative candidate for Hitchin and Harp and Dunne who's been

the conservative MP there for two years, Bim Afalami.

And already in just two years, I mean we talk about people like Jess Phillips who've had

so much publicity and so much focus and drive in that time.

Bim is one of those people who's only been an MP for two years already facing re-election

and you can see why people are talking about him already as a future leader, as a potential

future prime minister because he is a very persuasive talker, is a big thinker.

Has that knack for me to bring you in?

Regardless of your politics, I think you will find something in this interview where you

know there's something about people who are inherently reasonable that just you can imagine

yourself at some point perhaps.

Imagine if he goes on to be leader.

I think there are people listening to this that maybe haven't voted conservative before,

wouldn't vote conservative in this election, would listen to someone like Bim and say,

well maybe.

Equally of course that means you would alienate other people so that's the nature of politics

but there you go.

He was a brilliant guest.
