Hey, friends. Welcome back to the Morning Mindset podcast, Carrie Green here. It's time

for you and I to get our minds aligned with the truth of God for today. I want to start

up by asking you a question. What are the context in which you find yourself just kind of

spontaneously shouting? Are there many of those in your life? I'm not talking about an argument

you get in with someone and where you're shouting because of the argument. I mean, it's

a shout of joy, a shout of celebration, a shout of triumph. Do you have context in your

life where those kinds of spontaneous outbursts happen? Many people have sporting events,

find themselves shouting in this way when their team scores a touchdown or their team scores

the winning basket. You know, there are all kinds of sporting events where I think we

all have experienced that kind of excitement. But friends, there are more important and

I would even say deeper reasons for that kind of shouting. We're going to get into that

in Psalm chapter 33 verse number one as we continue our study on this concept of joy and

what the scriptures have to teach us about it. But before we get there, I'm going to remind

you if you are a parent and you have kids at home that you are still parenting or even

if you're a parent of adult kids, we have a podcast that we've been producing for about

one. This is King David writing an exhortation to us. Now, you know what an exhortation is,

it's an instruction that is kind of forceful. It's full of energy. It's like he's compelling

us to do this. He says, shout for joy in the Lord. Oh, you righteous. Praise befits the upright.
