I got a question from someone about walking less. Is that something they should do? We'll unpack that during today's walk. Hi, I'm Dave. Welcome to Walking is Fitness, a daily podcast to encourage you to create and sustain a habit of walking. Today's 10-minute walk starts in just a moment.

At the moment, I'm walking on an access road

that is not used regularly because it really doesn't go anywhere.

only recommending maybe other activities like weights to some extent. I do go to the gym a couple of times

a week for weights to not lose muscle, but I found that walking strengthened my back as I was having

and sometimes had to use a cane.

I don't need a cane now, so I attribute that to walking each day.
