0:09.9	All right, so I've talked about this in the past, and I think broadcast too, and maybe
0:13.4	you've listened to other podcasts talking about podcasting and maybe because you listen
0:17.0	to podcasts, you've been wondering if you yourself should start a podcast.
0:20.6	And what's involved?
0:21.6	And how do you decide if that's in fact something that you should do?
0:24.4	So in this quick tip, I want to share with you my opinion and advice as much of its
0:29.7	kind of changed in the last couple, maybe months even.
0:32.5	All right, so first let's talk about should you launch a podcast?
0:37.0	As I always say, and as we teach our students in the marketing impact academy, you want
0:41.3	to do things in the right order.
0:42.8	So while it can be really tempting to do certain things because they sound fun, they sound
0:46.9	glamorous, or it's the kind of thing that you hyper focus on and you want to get yourself
0:52.0	lost in it, I just think we have to be very careful that we don't take on new responsibilities
0:57.5	in projects because they're going to make us feel busy, but they don't actually get us
1:01.8	anywhere.
1:03.0	So having said that, ask yourself, if is that the thing that you should be devoting time
1:07.2	to right now?
1:08.6	And to answer that question, I think you have to first make certain that you already know
1:13.6	how you're going to monetize it.
1:15.5	Like what are you driving people to?
