Hi there and thanks for listening to the Jasmine Starshow. Today I am thrilled, excited

0:20.5

over the moon. Like insert any extra kind of adjective here because I get to do one of

0:27.9

my favorite things. I get to answer questions. Now you should probably be a little bit aware that I

0:34.0

have been answering questions since I was a kid. Even if I didn't know the answer. Okay, so like

0:40.7

that just tells you like I was the kind of kid who liked to have opinions about opinions. And I've

0:46.8

mentioned before on the podcast, but I was homeschooled through high school up to high school. And my

0:52.0

parents often would host people at their house. Like any social type of anything my parents always had

0:58.7

an open door. My dad loved cooking. He loved being in the kitchen. And even though we had very,

1:05.1

very very little in our refrigerator and pantry, my dad always whipped up something amazing. So people

knew any time of day or night they can come over have great conversation. And my dad would likely

1:16.3

whip up you know bean tacos or a guess idea or just in my dad in Mexican culture they have

something called an oya. And think of this as like a clay pot. And like you know you have a legit

1:47.8

And you just bake cook not even bake see I don't even in the kitchen. You would cook these beans.

1:53.5

And it's a slow slow slow boil overnight on a very low flame. And you would cook so many beans in

1:59.1

this oya and you would use the beans as needed. And so you would cover your oya and it wouldn't be

2:05.0

over a flame. It would just be overnight. And then you would pull the beans as needed for about

2:09.5

the next five days. I know it sounds crazy. But trust me y'all like you all have never eaten beans

2:14.7

unless you have had like friola's the oya. I'm just I'm just saying. So people would come over

2:19.5

and they knew at minimum we would have corn tortillas. We would have beans in my dad get like
