A few days ago that Jack Hughes, along with, I forget her name, but I think the goaltender for the women's Olympic hockey team,

will both be throwing out the first pitch today here at Yankee Stadium.

And that was met with, you know, Sean basically saying, I'm a Ranger fan.

He's a devil.

I'm going to boo him.

And while I don't agree with Sean, I didn't think it was like the most insane opinion

I've ever heard, but he's taken quite a bit of backlash.

So let's take a listen.

First with Boomer, because Boomer, look, I love you, Sean, you're a great Ranger fan.

I think that Boomer until he retires is the face of Ranger fandom at WFAN, whether you like it or not. It's just the way it is. Don't put this again, just me versus Boomer. I'm not. I'm just describing something accurately. Yeah. Everybody knows. And it's not about who's the better fan. It just, it is what it is. He is the face of Ranger fandom at WFAA. And we have two full seasons

have passed since, you know, he hasn't taken a new game he promised me to. Well, that's a completely different story. You got to take that up with Boomer. But I was very curious, as I mentioned yesterday, what would Boomer as a diehard Ranger fan, but also someone that was really into the Olympics? What would he say about the idea of a New Jersey devil throwing out the first

pitch at Yankee Stadium? And would he co-sign Sean's view that Sean is going to boo him?

Let us hear from Boomer.

I like Sean. I love his passion for the Rangers. There's no question about that. But I

would just say in this instance, he's not there as a devil. He's there as a USA hockey player.

Of course.

And the one that scored the game-winning goal.

That's why he's there. Yeah. No, obviously, you don't have to explain this to me. Now, if Matthew Schaefer were there and he wore his Islander's shirt, I'd boo prop. No, I don't. Well, what he makes clear, though, is that if Jack Hughes walked out on the field today with a devil jersey, it changes things. Yeah, yeah, I agree. Which, I don't think he's going to do. No. He's going to be in a team USA jersey, and you cannot boo him, John. You cannot. Especially after the night he had last night. Well, that's even more of a reason. Why?

You know, Tiki, I thought about this long and hard, because I take what you say seriously. So I went home and I observed, I said, yeah, Tiki was really angry. I go, but I think I could present this in a better way than just Fat Ranger Famiel's about Devils. Okay. The truth is, is today April 3rd? It is April 3rd. Okay, April 3rd.

So here's the question I would ask before everybody gets mad at me.

It's April 3rd.

February was this goal. As far as I'm concerned, we have now gone through more of a hockey season. It's March. It's April. And just hockey fans, we're lunatics, right? Ranger fans, Islander fans, Devil fans. What's the cutoff thing? Like, because as far as I'm concerned, yes, he scored the goal and he will live with that forever, and anybody rooted for Team USA will live for that forever. But in April, when Jack Hughes gets introduced here, saying you're over, it's kind of one thing, but it's like, at what point am I not allowed to like I can't boom his whole career you want to
