Hey, how's it going? I've been thinking a lot about titles that people give us, whether they're good or bad, and how we live in those titles sometimes.

My father-in-law and I were talking about Acts chapter 11, verse 26, when it says in Antioch, they started to be called Christians.

That was a title given to the early believers by an outside party.

The apostles didn't call themselves Christians.

They referred to themselves as bond servants.

They referred to themselves as children of God.

They referred to themselves as a holy priesthood.

by the title Christian. And the title Christian is not a bad title. It literally means follower of Christ. So it's a good title.

Likewise, Christ, Messiah, those were good titles, yet Jesus didn't refer to himself by those titles.

And I think that's like just interesting because he referred to himself as the son of man.

Son of man comes to the book of Daniel from a prophecy there about the true human that was going to come and defeat sin. That's Jesus. There's no, he's the only human that was going to come and defeat sin.
