How to stop people pleasing as a Christian. Three steps. Matthew chapter 11 verse 19 says,

The Son of Man came eating and drinking and they say, look at him, a glutton and a drunkard,

a friend of tax collectors and sinners, yet wisdom is justified by her deeds. Step number one,

dip. A Christian can't people please and please God at the same time. You can't people please when you're more concerned with what God calls you than what others call you. When you don't care about something, you dip. You leave the conversation. That's what Jesus did.

He ignored it. He dipped. They called him friend of sinners, and he never stopped being that.

The title that these resentful Jews gave him became the glorious title he is known for today,

all because he didn't care about people pleasing and changing his calling, but rather pleasing

ship. Jesus showed us what it means to ship our calling. Christians aren't people pleasers. They're

Jesus never saw himself in a relationship with people pleasing.

He pursued a relationship with sinners with the intention to make them into pleasing people to God.

What do you ship yourself with? People pleasing or being a pleasing
