Summary

When we spend time with other believers, the message that we should die to sin is something we hear so often that it can become a cliché. We should definitely deal with this issue, but the problem is that the more we focus on not committing a particular sin, the more we find we are still sinning in that area. When we are in Christ, we are already dead to sin. The spiritual battle we fight is waged in our minds, and our entire lives are influenced by what we think and believe.

0:42.0	Brother, you need to die to sin. coming up, I would hear this all the time.

0:47.0	You need to continue to die to sin every day.
0:49.6	And that became like a cliche.
0:52.4	And the more and more I would hear it you know it's not that I didn't
0:56.0	believe it but you know it just seemed like it was this thing about always having to die to sin. I don't know if you understand what I'm talking about,
1:06.0	but have you ever tried to die to sin as a Christian? Now you're not going to raise your hands
1:12.4	because you're not quite sure if you should be sitting as a Christian. Now you're not going to raise your hands because you're not quite sure
1:13.6	if you should be sitting as a Christian. So I'll do it for you. You know, I, as far as
1:18.9	is trying to die to sin, I remember trying to die to the sin of not having patients.
1:25.2	And the more I tried to die to that sin of not having patients, it seems like not having patients
1:31.6	became even a bigger problem or maybe trying to
1:35.1	dot to that sin of not speaking negatively and not having negative confessions
