When Drakes Bay Oyster Company closed up shop in 2014,

it was a blow to many who loved visiting the Oyster shack for a briny treat.

A long legal battle to keep the Drakes Bay Oyster Company open to the public has come to an end.

The oyster farm and restaurant had operated in Point Reyes National Seashore since the 1930s.

But when its 40-year lease ran out, the Department of the Interior decided not to renew it.

Much of the area in the National Seashore has been designated wilderness, and the then Secretary of the Interior

has said the oyster farm doesn't fit in a wilderness area, since it's a commercial operation.

Years later, the decision to close the oyster farm still angers many people.

And now a similar controversy is brewing.

Marin County for a long time.

For a long time she didn't think much of it, but recently she started wondering.

How did we end up allowing cattle in a national park?
