Do you know, something struck me at the weekend, and that is that

some of the sort of live human voices that you hear, for many people at the moment, this will be us.

We'll be the only ones. That's an astonishing weight of responsibility on our shoulders.

A couple of friends of mine whose parents are in isolation.

Obviously you can speak on the telephone.

I'm not completely stupid.

But in terms of interactions, daily interactions with people that you don't know personally,

live voices in your ears that belong to people that you're not related to or don't have a history with,

then that might just be us, in which case I really hope that you're doing okay.

I really hope that your weekend, although it's probably blurred into all the other days,

hasn't it?

But I really hope you're finding a little bit of space in your head to

remember the important stuff, to be kind to yourself, and that the unanswerable questions with

which many of us still wrestle are not becoming unbearable to you. If they are, then, as ever,

I promise to try to keep your company throughout the duration. as ever i promise that if there is something
