Here's what I think the Mets are going to do and they should do.

And it's much to the chagrin of many a met fan,

including the opinion that Sean just gave which is hey if you think the

team is good you got to go all in you got to go for it you got to go out and try to

improve this roster and while I want the Mets to improve their roster I do not want to do it at the cost of big

prospects. Now would it be different if this was two years ago? Yeah in

2022 I think when you have a team that's about to win 100 games when you have a

legitimate chance to win the NEL East there is more aggressiveness in terms of

getting a win now player but for this team a team that I thought coming in

could compete for a playoff spot be in the

mid to high 80s and it's played out in that way I don't want to do anything foolish

and when I look at what the cost has been for Jason Adam, who's a nice relief picture, and

the cost for Carlos Estevas, that is not something I'm interested in.

So to my fellow meth fan and to you, Sean, is not

to give up that kind of cost for rentals to just try to win now to make you feel better.

I think that's stupid long term.

Well remember, first with Jason Adam has a couple years control which is why you're getting that kind of

whole. He's a relief pitcher. I understand that Evan here's the problem.

They're show up and down. A really, really good team president and general manager has to make the toughest of decisions in terms of like the real evaluation of the team.
