I did do a podcast when I got back late Monday night on Monday and

yesterday, but lots to catch up on. It was good that Linnell and Denton were sitting in. I'm sure

they had plenty of thoughts. I want to hear Denton, your thoughts on all of the stuff that has

happened so far.

Today, by the way, for those of you who don't know, today is actually the start of free agency.

4 p.m., all of the trades, all of the signings that you've been reading about over the last few days,

actually become official with signatures on contracts and trades officially submitted to the league office.

The Tunsel deal becomes official today at 4 p.m.

That's why we haven't had any press conferences from the team to talk about Kinlaw or to talk about the Tunsel trade, but you've heard the players like Ertz, et cetera, talk about their signings.

You're allowed to sign your own free agents before the league calendar begins, but the outside

of your team signings or trades don't become official until 4 p.m. today.

I still don't know, and I'm not sure I've ever really read a really good reason why they do it this way,

but I'm sure there is one.

You know, I don't think the league just does things willy-nilly for the sake of it.

I'm sure there is a specific reason they do it the way they do it.
