It's a Tuesday in November. You know what that means. There's a made for TV show with rankings that don't need to be done tonight. Huh. Did I say that right, Godfrey? Yeah, that was very good. I was going to make a Mac football joke, but maybe it's helping the Mac ratings. Maybe that's the reason we should be doing this. And we're not going to talk about the ratings either, so that's fun. We're more than that, aren't we? Yes.

Are we going to talk about the ratings either, so that's fun. We're ignoring them, aren't we? Yes. Are we going to ignore them? Absolutely. I would, I mean, I want to. We didn't discuss this before the show, but yeah, absolutely. We should ignore that. Well, I mean, but why, why are average fans? I don't think average fans are obsessed with ratings. I think we and the media are.

Correct. And then we project that on to our audience that doesn't really care. Yeah, I got,

but I was wondering about that. Is it them or us? I think it's more us. I think we crossed some

sort of weird threshold during the Dion Sanders year one thing at Colorado where I feel like we in the media

get so, I hate saying that phrase, but it's true.

We in the media get so desperate in September

to identify the year's narrative,

finding theme.

And the way Dion took off in TV rating specifically,

by the way, totally unexplained phenomenon,

and it's one that I talk to

people at ESPN who do their interior analytics for like engagement inside of the giant ESPN
