I'm Stuart Mandel, joined by Bruce Selman and Ralph Rousseau for an action-packed episode, our first episode of the week.

Over the next couple weeks, we were going to go conference by conference

win totals, Vegas win totals, and have a fun little draft and see who comes out the best

at the end of the season. But there's some news we want to get to first off. First of all,

we've been tracking, obviously, the Brendan Sorsby story for quite some time. And there was a hearing actually

on Monday, Ralph. Philison. Yeah, this just seems like there's news every day on Brendan Sorsby.

And I think the good news is that we'll find out about what his status is with Texas Tech this year.

Pretty soon. There was a hearing today in Lubbock County,

basically in a hearing for a temporary injunction. I think people who are college football fans

should know what a temporary injunction is by now because we've all been acclimated to the legal

process. Basically, you're asking a judge to make a decision before a case even goes to court

because these cases will take a really long time before they actually go to court.

And what they're asking the judge to say is, what they're asking from the judge is, hey,

allow him to be eligible as this case plays out.

Whether that's going to happen or not, seems like a pretty far-fetched idea.

Seems like a long shot that he would get that ruling, but they're looking for a home court

advantage. It was also some news over the weekend, guys, our colleague Justin Williams, got some

court documents ahead of this hearing. Oh, by the way, the hearing is

done. As we are recording this, the hearing is taking place. Brendan Soresby was not even there.

There was very little testimony, unlike the Trinidad Chambles hearing, if you remember that a few

months ago. It was just basically an exchange of a lot of documents between Sorsby's lawyers and the NCAA's lawyers, and the judge will not be ruling imminently.
