And there's only one place we're going to start and it's with somebody who doesn't even play for Liverpool

anymore doesn't even play football anymore.

And that's Stephen Gerard James. Do you think it's the right decision for him in the end?

Yeah 100% I think no great surprise. I think I remember sitting down with him during an interview

at the start of the year as he was preparing to go back to LA and he said then

that he fully expected it to be his last season as a footballer.

He was hoping for that silver lining obviously in the MLS that didn't happen.

But you know I think you could tell from recent months

with obviously the injury problems he's had

that he wasn't able to produce the level that he's been used to for so long.

So yeah, it makes perfect sense.

You know, when you've achieved as much as he has done in the game,

he's got nothing left to prove.

And, uh, I think he's spot on with his decision he's made.

Andy was there a sense that perhaps this was inevitable at this particular time?

Yeah, I think from most Liverpool fans, you know, Stephen Gerard probably retired the day he left Anfield to be honest I mean
