The Flyers Need a Center. It seems like Robert Thomas and St. Louis is available.

Hey, everybody. Welcome to The Shootout. I'm Bill. This is Charlie, and the Flyers need a center.

So we're going to talk about one of the ones who might be available today, Charlie, Robert Thomas of the St. Louis Blues.

His name has come up in a lot of trade rumors lately.

Rob Thomas will be, well, he's smooth.

We know that.

He's going to be 27 on July 2nd, so very much a player in his prime, 20th overall pick in 2017. That would have been nice to take. Anyway, he's got 12 goals, 23 assists on the season. That's 35 points in 43 games as of this recording. He is a productive, I would say basically one C in the NHL.

His scoring numbers are down a little bit this year, but the Blues are 28th and

scoring overall 25th on the power play.

They have the second worst track in hockey.

They're real bad.

Yeah, he could be helping them more, but if your whole team can't score, it's tough

to be a point of game player.

And that's basically what is going on with him

right now. He's averaged 77 points in 74 games over the previous four seasons. So he's right

there. He's one of those guys that the Flyers badly need. If they are going to take the next step

anytime soon, he's in year three of an-year deal with an 8.125 cap hit.

So very, very, very affordable in terms of the going price for one season this league.

The question, should Danny Breyer go all in for him?
