Welcome back to the Dersh show. This may sound like, you know, gossip with Taylor Swift and who knows what else, but it's not. It goes to the essence of the rule of law. Why don't we know conclusively

whether or not Fannie Willis and Nathan Wade have had a romantic relationship.

We are entitled to know that.

We the public, we who have to sit in judgment over our system of justice.

This is a nation of laws.

And we have the right to know whether or not Fannie Willis selected as her special prosecutor a man with whom she's having not only a romantic relationship, but a financial relationship.

It affects the case.

It affects whether the case should have been brought at all in the first place,

whether or not this was simply an attempt to convey funds from one lover to another.

We don't know the answer. Maybe there's a totally innocent explanation. I can't see how there could be.

An innocent explanation based on the

receipts that we've seen unless they're forged but if they're real receipts there are it seems to be only two alternatives and that is that the man who has received $650,000 in legal fees

from the district of district attorney

has for no good reason paid for thousands of dollars worth of vacation trips and cruises for the person who arranged for him to get the money.

That's even more serious.

Or there's no relation, or there is a relationship,

and you know, it's just, you know, lovers going on a cruise together.

We also need to know the timeline.

And we need to know, timeline and we need to know I don't want to know the details of the

relationship I just want to know what the nature of the relationship is and I want to know

whether or not these trips have been paid for what the source of the funds was.

This is a potentially criminal issue.
