Summary

We believe there's a clear need to grow the large and fuzzy online "Gun Community" in order to educate and inspire people to take their 2A responsibilities more seriously. But we also believe that one of those responsibilities is to build very small, very defined local communities. Let's talk identity and authority.

Today we're going to be talking about communities, the benefits of a very large, wide,

0:05.2

undefined community, and the specific benefits of a much smaller and very clearly defined community,

0:12.0

both in regular everyday life, but also emergencies.

Welcome to another T-RX talk.

We've talked about community quite a bit in the past, but it's been a while since we had a episode on community itself.

And generally speaking, we've been talking about two separate things and not always really defining what they are. One is the gun community, just this bigger, wider blob of people who appreciate guns, or maybe they appreciate

the Second Amendment, hopefully they appreciate both, and they just kind of follow one another on

1:31.9

You can buy grass-fed beef directly from local farmers.

1:35.8

And a lot of us that are listening to this podcast and part of this larger gun community

1:40.4

probably really like the idea of small communities that offer these decentralized

1:45.7

economies, where you can go to local folks to get stuff as opposed to being a part of a

1:52.0

gigantic bloated system. It's not that hard to buy bootleg, totally illegal raw milk.

1:59.7

It's not that hard to pull your kids out of the giant government school

2:03.7

system, but there are things that are a little bit trickier. Let's talk about some edge cases.

2:11.5

Now, a statement that I've made in the past that will continue to be true is that edge cases don't
