Summary

After revisiting the “trouser color” debate of 2019 (Carl claims a sort of “sartorial panache”), our hosts settle into a more serious discussion. A rather high-profile government appointee publicly displays what is—to most—a rather deplorable lifestyle. Should the Christian say nothing about what this man does in his “private life?” Or should a public servant’s behavior be held to a higher standard? The conversation naturally moves to the public good and our obligation to the most vulnerable in society: children. 1:11.8	There's a lot going on in the world, but one of the things that I do want to call attention
1:17.0	to is that when, earlier today, knowing that we were going to record, I sent out a little
1:23.2	message on Facebook asking people if they had thoughts about questions they might want
1:29.2	answered or that kind of thing.
1:30.7	And I was particularly interested in the number of times that people on Facebook asked
1:39.4	me specifically or asked both of us specifically to address the issue of the sorts of colors
1:47.2	that are appropriate for men to wear, particularly in their trousers. Now, I can only assume
1:52.2	that they were referring to you and some of your choices when it comes to like wine colored
1:58.6	and mustard colored trousers, that sort of thing.
2:01.2	I think certainly claret is a very good color.
2:04.3	It's actually my college colors.
2:05.6	I'm wearing claret colored pants today, all for our English listeners, trousers.
2:09.8	Don't want to get confused.
2:11.1	Right.
2:11.8	That's my college color.
