Liverpool lose by three goals to two to Fulham, meaning that the chance to extend their lead at the top of the league, instead of being 14 points, it remained at 11 points.

What a mad little world

went in, isn't it?

I feel a little bit down on the dumps

because there was a real opportunity there

for Liverpool to extend it.

And to give us that level of excitement,

to go two wins in a week

and really put our foot

to the floor between now and the end of the season.

And that could still happen.

But my general feeling about this is it feels like we have sacrificed longevity

this campaign to get it as early as possible to rack up that lead.

And that is a perfectly acceptable way to win football matches

and to win a league title.

It's very similar, of course, to what we did

in 2020 as well. Of course, we'll never know how that team would have fared because of, you know,

lockdown and all that robbed us of the chance to see a clean run to the end of the season. Maybe

they would have done the same. How do you maintain that level of sort of like run through a brick wall kind of attitude

and do your legs stay on when you have to really go for it time and time and time again,

when you don't have the same level of pressure to succeed?

We've got nothing to refer to really as far as this goes.
