It's a pretty short list of games I can remember where I was actually proud of the team that lost

and had really good things to say.

There are no moral victories in sports.

We all know that.

You win, you lose.

You have a season. You have a record. You win, you lose, you have a season,

you have a record, you are what the numbers say you are. But watching the Missouri Tigers in the

Armed Forces game, Armed Forces Bowl game on Wednesday night was one of the strangest

football experiences I've ever had with so many players not playing with a change at quarterback,

your star running back out, three defensive players gone, your tight end position decimated,

and then one injury after another in the game, I wasn't sure who was left standing for the

Missouri Tigers. They marched down with a minute to go behind Brady Cook, who has very little experience

and got his first start in this game.

And they take the lead over Army.

And my first reaction, because I watched so much football is, uh-oh, they left too much time

on the clock.

And then you think, well, maybe they didn't leave too much time on the clock because they're

playing Army, which runs the ball.

And a minute for a running team is not a minute for a passing team.
