I don't know why, though, when it's going out. So let's just say happy whatever you're

doing right now. Yeah. Hopefully we all made it good for you. So I've been wanting to

do this for ages, but it just felt right for a shorthand. It's not going to be fun. It's

not going to be pretty. It's probably not going to be that funny, but it's important

like your new best friends. Not very pretty, not very fun and not very funny. Exactly,

but does he have all of his hair? Great. Okay. Since June 1981, the AIDS epidemic has ravaged

communities all over the world. Since then, the retrovirus has taken 36.3 million lives,

and there are reported to have been between 55.6 million and 100 million confirmed cases

the world over. And like most things we only know about it because it happened in North

America. The AIDS crisis swept across North America, first affecting what was termed as

the four H's, homosexuals, human philex, heroin users, and Haitian migrants. And it all

started with one man. Dispial told us so in their 1987 article on the crisis entitled

the appalling saga of patient zero. The bastion of investigative journalism reported that

the North American AIDS crisis all quote, started with air Canada flight attendant Gation

Dugar. With his airlines flight vouchers in hand, the good looking man could travel around

North America at will and have his fun in New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Easily

accessible sex in saunas and dark rooms wasn't considered indecent. Dugar was the star of

the scene. Now you've probably heard this story, and there are lots of variations on it,

up HIV whilst in Africa after having groups sex with people who had contracted the virus
