What comes to mind when I say the name Abe Saffron? He died in 2006, so don't feel too bad if nothing comes to mind for you.

But for me, that name has always conjured images of violence, misery and murder, of a ruthless Kings Cross crime king,

responsible for countless mysterious disappearances and deaths.

But that perspective has changed substantially since I read a new book called Saffron Incorporated.

It's written by Stuart Coop, who is himself a legend of the Australian entertainment industry.
