This is something I never heard of.

It's called hostile architecture.

Or what are there some of the other names there?

Defensive architecture or exclusionary design.

That's right.

And this is a topic that if our buddy Roman Mars and 99% invisible has not covered, I would be shocked and amazed.

You'd eat a 10-gallon hat.

I would, I'm sure they have covered this.

But this is the idea that someone will design something. This became pretty popular in the 1990s.
