without a doubt the most popular style of beer in the United States is light lager.

With its crisp mouth feel, subtle aroma, and arguably absent flavor, it's easy to see why this

style has garnered the love of so many.

Known for their deliciously rich lager history, the Brewers in Germany fairly recently began

crafting versions of their tasty pillsners that packed a little bit less guilt. This is the

Bruosophy podcast. I'm your host, Marshall Schott, and my co-host today is Brulosophy's newest

contributor Phil Russia who will be chatting with me about German Leisht Beer.

You pronounced it correctly it is not Lecht. Which I've been guilty of saying actually.

Yeah I think I'd be lying if I said I never pronounced it that way too.

Yeah no I still kind of find myself messing up.

And I had to put a little reminder in the show notes here,

you know, spelling it out phonetically for me,

so I didn't screw up on it.

But it is Leisht beer.

And my understanding is that Leisht in German just means light you

know basically in the way that we would you know describe like a light beer right?

How has your experience been with that so far?

It's been really rad, actually.

I really enjoy making beer and I really enjoy being able to contribute to our community and being able to hang up with you guys and bounce ideas off each other has just been tremendous past couple months.

shotty version of this delicate style as your first thing for Brulosophy.
