not even a Patrick Beverly or a Wenian Gabriel out there for the Lakers in this one. Clearly,

the Lakers decided to lose this battle in order to potentially win the war to live

to fight another day.

The Lakers will get ready for Friday's game in Philly, opting to rest LeBron James in this

one, Anthony Davis, still sick.

Darvindham told us after last night's game against the Cavs that AD had a temperature

that was over 101 degrees.

So hopefully he is feeling better in time for Friday's game against the 76ers.

And with AD out, I kind of understand what the Lakers were thinking when they decided, you know what?

Second night of a back-to-back, LeBron's ankle's been bugging him.

Let's go ahead and rest LeBron and see what we can do there to get him back to 100%. You look at the road trip right now, too. The Lakers, as of this point, they're now two and two on the road trip. You've got a game coming up against Detroit. First, you've got to play Philly, but you finish things out with Detroit. so that should give you a good opportunity to at least be 500 to finish the road trip. If you can get a win in Philly on Friday, that puts you at 4 and 2 on the trip. Even if you're 500 on the trip, you feel pretty good coming out of this road trip with that record. So I can understand what the Lakers were thinking, but nonetheless, it didn't make for a super enjoyable basketball game in this one. There were some moments. We got to see extended minutes for Damian Jones. We got to see extended minutes for Thomas Bryant. Dennis Schroeder got to play a little bit more unusual. You got to see Juan de Scano Anderson play. Unfortunately, got hurt. And this one turned his ankle. we'll see what the prognosis is on him

but we got to see a bit more of the other guys but it didn't always make for pretty basketball

and the raptors were pretty much in cruise control for most of the game we were hoping that maybe

we would get that kind of thing that happens sometimes where a team sees that their opponent doesn't

have their stars they take the foot off the gas.
