Columbia River Knife and Tool back here with with my dear friend, Jimmy Fee,

crabby Jim, if you caught us on Friday.

Towards the end of the show there, we mentioned that my children refer to Jim as crabby Jim,

right?

That's right.

We went crabbing together, and I showed my crabbing prowess.

Yeah, yeah.

You know, and I was just thinking about, you know, we talked about Jim and I did our annual

Shad, spring Shad trip.

Jim always comes back down to the Philly area from whence he came.

This is where you're originally from.

And we try and do one Shad trip every spring.

And Shad for both of us is one of those things we grew up with. It's like part of the, like who we are as fishermen is Shad fishing. And, you know, I hadn't, I hadn't seen

you, Jim, since last summer. And I realized that last summer was the first time we went out

together and did a kids trip, right? And we, we took, we took our, our respective children out on my father-in-law's boat in Ocean

City, New Jersey, because we both vacation down there. So we wound up down there the same week

in the summer. We went out crabbing. And crabbing is one of those things. So like you work for

on the water, you edit a lot of coffee, you deal with a lot of writers. In all my years of like, field and stream and outdoor life,

the amount of times when I had one of my editors be like, hit us with some new ideas. And I'm like,

crabbing. And they're like, no, you're the fishing guy. I'm like, can I please write about crabbing?

Like, I love crabbing so much. And like, you're the only other person that I know who I feel like was that was as deeply ingrained in their childhood as it was mine.
