Hello everyone and welcome to police off the cuff real crime stories.

I'm your host, retired NYPD Sergeant Bill Cannon, a 27-year veteran of the NYPD.

You know, folks, we have this case out of Utah, and it's these cases of wives killing husbands, husbands killing wives, why don't people just get divorced and end their relationship?

Why do they think that murder is the answer?

And you see up on the screen, on to the left, Jennifer Gledhill, and in the picture

to the right is her husband, who happens to be a National Guard reservists.

And they were going through separation or divorce, and she comes up with the idea that maybe it would be easier just to kill him, you know?

So she devises this plan to shoot him in their head, in their home, in their home,

because he discovers that she's having an affair.

And instead of them going through the process of getting a divorce,

she decides she's going to murder him.

Where do people get these ideas that they think they can get away with this?

That they think that shooting someone in the head in their bedroom, they're going to be able to clean up the crime scene.

They're going to be able to get rid of the gun.

They're going to be able to get rid of the body.

And no one will know any better.

No one's going to notice him missing, you know?

Like, what are they thinking of?

This is absolutely crazy. And and today we all know every single

one of us on this earth unless you live in a cave somewhere or on that show on tv uh life below zero

you don't have a cell phone you don't order things over your computer you don't have a cell phone, you don't order things over your computer,

you don't have, you know, electronic devices, laptops, all those things.
