Number one, police chief here's shocking murder confession.

With the population of just a little bit over 3,000, Millbank is the type of town that

we often see in movies and TV shows where everyone knows one another by their first name.

Located in Grand County, South Dakota, this city is by far one of the safest to live in

in the entire state.

Suffice to say, this is a close knit community, where even police officers would send greeting

cards to those who are at odds with the law, but sad to say, violence and criminality will

always find a way to disturb the peace that was once in Millbank.

On December 14, 2021, Void Van Vorin, the city's chief of police, sent a Facebook message

to resident Brent Hanson asking him to come down to the station the next day.

I wasn't supposed to be that serious actually.

The chief officer and only wanted to give the 57 year old a Christmas card, where she had

gotten from his church.

He also wanted to check in about some concerns that he had about the man's family.
