most of the fake trees that we buy come from China.

So on top of the whole made a plastic thing,

they're also shipped on massive boats that use a ton of fossil fuels coming across the ocean.

Then they're transferred on to trucks that run on gasoline.

But I mean they do last for a while before you know they eventually end up in the landfill.

Yeah, where's it? They never biodegrade.

Meanwhile, real trees tend to be grown on nearby farms and those farms also create a lot of jobs.

There's 15,000 different tree farms in North America right now that employ 100,000 people.

Oh, it's cool.

But it takes them seven years to grow one.

And that's a lot of water, brook.
