In the last book of the Bible, revelation were taught about a future battle in the Middle East. This major conflict will pit good

against evil as multiple nations come together in a final showdown.

The Battle of Armageddon is the enemy's last desperate attempt to prevent Jesus Christ from taking his rightful place on the throne of the world.

Today on Insight for Living, Chuck Swindall will describe what the Bible teaches about this future event and

what it doesn't.

Teaching from Revelation Chapter 16, Chuck titled today's message, Shock and Aw

revisited.

As I look at the unfolding of events of verses 12 to 16, I find five subjects that intrigue all of us.

They do me when I read through them and I think they need to be addressed at least briefly so we're all informed.

First there's a mention of an angel so we need to explain the avenging

angel in verse 12 the sixth angel.

There's a mention of a river, and its name for us,

as the Euphrates in verse 12.

There's a reference to the Kings of the East, the End of verse 12.

Demons called Unclean Spirits appear in 13 and 14.

We'll talk about that and finally the great war

at the end of the chapter, verse 60.

First the angel.

The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river.

This is the only angel who doesn't come against humanity.

This angel's bowl of wrath is a, has the miraculous, the supernatural ability to dry up a river. So the others come against

humanity. This one simply dries up the river. So we have the angel pouring out wrath and the river dries up. We have a movement of a vast
