Welcome, shit show Amanda. Thank you. Thank you so much. In Germany. Yes. How was your German class?

0:37.0

Horrible. No, it's good. I kind of wished I would have learned more by Asmosis, but now that I'm studying it, I'm like, Jesus, I don't know how to do anything in German, except for order schnitzel and cappuccinos.

0:53.0

So, you know, it's a little overwhelming, but I can say a few things, so that's good. Yeah, I guess it would be different, because like when you're at work, you're just speaking in English.

1:04.0

All English, yes, all in English.

1:07.0

You get a little different if you were like, maybe you could get a little side hustle at the market.

1:12.0

Oh my god. No, I don't want to work anymore. I'm done working. I want to socialize. I'll socialize with my German friends.

1:22.0

I think that's a better idea. Okay. So, what song do you want played? Oh, oh god. I think welcome to the jungles, the first one that just came into my mind.

1:39.0

So, I think that's pretty self-explanatory. Absolutely. Herbohydrate. This is really challenging, because there's not a single one of them that I could not live without.

1:51.0

I'm going to say pasta. I have to have pasta in my life. I also have to have bread, but pasta. What's your favorite pasta dish?

1:59.0

Oh, my favorite pasta dish, believe it or not, is spaghetti. I'm going to say this wrong.

2:06.0

It's this spaghetti with olive oil and lots of garlic and spicy peppers. My mom used to make it for me when I was young. That's one of the happy memories of childhood.

2:16.0

My mom would make that for me for my birthday. Is she Italian? She is not. No, she's not. But we're from Chicago. And I think she was married. Her first husband was Italian. So she learned to make.

2:30.0

My mom can't make anything. She's a really good cook. She's a good cook. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Are you getting like good pretzels over there or what? Yes. The first up there is a bakery literally on every corner.

2:43.0

Particularly in my neighborhood. And it's awesome because my neighborhood's a little bit more integrated. So you have people from all over who integrate to Germany. And they bring their own wonderful bread products.

2:59.0

We have like bulk and bakeries and we have Turkish bakeries. But every single bakery has like certain standard things and like the pretzels butter pretzels. That's one of them. Every grocery store has a bakery.

3:13.0

I mean, you can't walk 10 feet without like getting bread. And I don't mean like one or two choices. I'm talking like walls of bread. All different kinds. And you buy your bread every day. And everybody has their favorite bakery.

3:28.0

And it happens to be across the street from my house. So what do you typically get there? Oh, I have a couple of things. There is a, I don't know how to put it. The closest thing I could say is like it's almost like a Danish, but it's not really.

3:43.0

And it's called mandal pudding, which is almond. I just love it. But they also have this thing called Borek, which you would love.

3:52.0

And that is Balkan slash Turkish. And it's usually like a sort of a phylo dough with, and it comes in the one here comes in like a spiral. And I get the one with that a cheese is so.

4:09.0
