make sense of the world. You may have noticed I am not Curtis Chang who is the actual host of this

podcast. But I'm in a seat this week because he's away for this month and I'm thankful to be

0:37.4

joined by David French. Now Curtis calls David the founding friend of the Good Faith Podcast because

0:43.5

they started this before David went into the New York Times. But I just call David my husband. So

0:49.8

welcome David to the Good Faith Podcast. Hey, Nancy. Yeah, this is I've never been a part of the

0:55.8

podcast that you've hosted before. But we've been together on many podcasts before. So this

County. And there were a lot of spin-offs. But their spiritual mentor, this Bill Gawthard,

1:52.8

it's less famous. Most people in the secular world at least have never heard of him. But he's far

1:58.9

more consequential, obviously than this reality TV phenomenon. And you may have seen this or

2:06.5

definitely heard people talking about it because this has been a blockbuster for Amazon Prime.

2:13.4

It has had the biggest debut of any documentary series ever produced by Amazon Studios. It

2:18.3

reached more viewers in the first nine days than any Amazon documentary series.
